Quark Expeditions appointed AMI to assist in a project alongside in Aberdeen. The project consisted of:
- Rebuilding a steam room, incorporating new insulated bulkhead panels, including purpose made steel benches, all tiled in mosaic and including LED lighting
- LVT flooring in the gym
- Shower tray refurbishment (Gel coating)
- Fabrication and installation of storage benches int he yoga suite, storage to be used for expedition equipment for Antarctic exploration and when boarding helicoptors
The first part of the team (4 members) joined in Holland afteer coming straight from the Aurora refit in Rotterdam and sailing to Aberdeen installing the bulkhead and deckhead panels, the crew having stripped out all the affected areas on an earlier repositioning.
The vessel was alongside for 5 days and the team worked closely with the ships onboard Maintenance Team. The AMI Team were treated exotremely well by the Quark Management Team and Crew and were even given some Arctic Exploration jackets!
