P&O contracted AMI as principle contractor for the hotel work
- February 2026 saw us board the Ventura with over 300 men delivering a comprehensive range of specialist services across the vessel within challenging timescales and while contending with the harsh weather conditions experienced in Rotterdam during the winter. Largest demolition team to date tackling rip out works on the crossing, making sure the spaces were ready for our specialist teams to hit the ground running in over 50 separate areas around the ship.
- One of the standout achievements of the project was the complete re-upholstery of over 900 theatre seats, with upholsterer and joiners carefully dismantling, recovering and reassembling every individual seat to achieve the required finish and quality standards.
- Significant works were also carried out within the atrium, working closely with the clients designers and our supply chain, we carried out a full replacement of the flooring with new ceramic and marble tiles, featuring a bespoke 'Rose' design alongside a newly installed timber dance floor, helping to transform one of the ship’s key public spaces.
- Brand enhancements works were carried out to all open deck bars and catering outlets, with new ceramic tiled bar fronts, coloured co-ordinated decoration, bespoke bulkhead wallcovering and a new structural canopy to the Breakers Bar on deck 16.
