During the re-fit period AMI carried out works in spaces throughout the vessel’s interior and outside decks as main contractor. Demolition works commenced on the departure from Southampton to Rotterdam, and completed by our arrival. This included the removal of public area carpets, all ceramic tiles in the Belvedere Buffet Restaurant uplifted and the 2 Whirlpools from the aft pool were removed.
Significant upgrade works were carried out within the Thermal Suite including an overhaul of the electrical elements and new design concept tiling within the laconium.
Brand enhancement works were carried out to Neptune Pool Bar, with new ceramic tiled bar fronts, coloured decoration, bespoke bulkhead wallcovering and new design bar stools.
Works included:
- Re-upholstery works, up to 1000 items including chairs, sofas and banquet seating in all public venues
- Uplifting and replacing over 11,000 sqm of carpets through all guest alleyways & public rooms
- French Polishing several thousand chairs, and French Polishing existing timber finishes throughout the vessel
- Hard surface repairs to all Restaurant, dining, bars and public rooms and areas inc. outside decks
- Manufacture and installation of new window treatments, including blinds, sheers and curtains to various Guest venues
- Installing new wall coverings, painting and decorating in many public areas
- Uplifting and installing new granite, marble and ceramic tiles in Belvedere Buffet Restaurant, Oasis Spa & Salon, Aquarius and Neptune Bar & Pool
- Specialist deep cleaning and re-finishing to existing tiled areas in Guest Restroom
- The complete refurb’ of the Laconium, including electrical re-cabling and specialist tiling
- Specialist deep cleaning and re-finishing to existing tiled areas in Guest Restrooms
