Congratulations Kathryn Blandford - inspiring Female of the Year!

Its not all work, work, work here at Atlantic Marine Interiors (although its a challenge often that its not!) - sometimes we all need to take time out - Kathryn Blandford one of our Senior PMs has proved that she is not only a top class PM but also an inspiration to many young basket ball players!

Awarded Inspiring female of the year by Basket Ball England has proved that.

This is what her local team 'Solent Kestrels' had to say about her;

Here at Solent Kestrels Basketball Club, Kathryn is quite simply the heart and soul of the community. Working tirelessly behind the scenes, she ensures children can play, learn, and feel fully included within the club environment, always going above and beyond to support families wherever needed.

Kathryn is someone who quietly makes everything happen. From managing club administration, to supporting matchday set-up and pack-away, officiating at the table, refereeing games, and helping develop the next generation of officials as a Level 4 table official, her impact is felt across every part of the organisation.

Always willing to step up for the good of the game, Kathryn recently became a qualified referee, expanding her skills even further to better support the players, teams, and club community.

Her contribution extends well beyond the club being a key contributor in SABA basketball development.

What makes Kathryn truly special, though, is the care she shows for every single child involved. No matter their background or ability, she ensures everyone feels welcomed, supported, and valued. She has an incredible ability to make every young person feel like they belong.

And remarkably, she does all of this alongside a full-time job, dedicating countless evenings and weekends to basketball purely through passion and commitment.
